Light of Love FAQ

Hooray! Light of Love comes out today! We are so excited and blessed to be able to share this film with you. But before it comes out we would like to address a few of the questions we’ve received… read this first!

What time does the film come out, and how do we watch it?

The film goes live at 7 pm Eastern time, 6 pm Central time, and 4 pm Pacific time. Check our Facebook page for the link to the video when it goes live! You can also watch at lightoflovefilm.com

I can’t make it at 7 PM to see the film. What do I do?

The film premieres at 7 PM Eastern, but the good news is that it will be available to watch/download/share 24/7 after that! We will keep it up forever, and it will always be free to watch online.

Is the film really an hour long?

Yes! After interviewing the sisters and putting all of the material together, the film team decided that Light of Love needed to be an hour long to let viewers have the time they need to interact with the sisters: to follow them from prayer to work, to hear their stories in detail, and to let it all soak in. This means that the film is going to take up more time to watch, but we’re very excited to allow you to come face to face with these truly inspirational women. We recommend blocking off at least an hour of distraction free time… grab a pair of headphones and get comfy!

How can I get resources for small groups / personal reflection / journaling?

We’ve got just the solution… tons of awesome resources put together by our team and sisters from all over the United States. Check out the page at imaginesisters.org/filmguide

I want to show Light of Love at my church / school / university… is that allowed?

Yes! You can play, download, share, link, screen, and project the film to any size audience you’d like. Thank our sponsors for this awesome opportunity to make the film available totally free!

Where can I get a DVD copy of the film?

We hope to have DVDs around one month after the initial release, so hopefully around October 8th. Check our Facebook and we’ll be sure to post more information when it is available. They will be affordable and available for online purchase.

What about subtitles and language translations?

We hope to get the film on YouTube and give individuals the chance to add subtitles and translate them into various languages. Check the Facebook for more information… we’ll post as soon as we can begin this process!

Got more questions? Leave them in the comments below! We hope you enjoyed the film, and if you did, we hope you shared it with friends and family!

Is the quality too high for your computer? I just downloaded the HD and it plays/sounds fine.

        Hey Kurt!
Thanks for jumping in and helping others in their viewing. We have heard that turning off the HD has really helped many people!
        God Bless!

      Hello Angela,

Have you had any further luck by viewing the film on YouTube rather than Vimeo or by simply turning the HD off on the film? The file size for the film is very large and the quality of the film high, which for some computers might be an issue. Please try viewing the film again, and if you have any further issues please email us at info@imaginesisters.org. The YouTube format can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIwJacw_Z3Y&feature=share&list=UUx32p60fRz6OQgRWIpQGwuw

      God Bless!

Is it possible to get a condensed version, roughly 20 minutes long? I am a seminarian and I do a lot of high school visits. I have been waiting many years for a video like fishers or men for girls and finally, its here! my only concern is that no high school class period is an hour long. Also, unless a girl is already interested in religious life, no uninterested girl has an attention span an hour long. I know that there are many amazing stories to tell about sisters but it may be more helpful to get girls interested with a more compact video. Any thoughts?

One last comment, Vimeo takes forever to load, the effort to view this video may deter some from putting in the time to view this great vocation promotion.

      Hello Eric,

Thank you so much for your message. A condensed version of the film is something we have talked about and it will be in the works very soon. Stay tuned! Also, the film is available on YouTube for viewing in addition to Vimeo. With regard to Vimeo, it works differently on each computer depending on the internet connection, which may cause a delay for some people. While it is possible that it could deter some, with over 12,000 views on Vimeo alone, it does not appear to be a tremendous problem! Again thanks for your input and we will be praying for you as you continue in seminary! God Bless!

Dan, I love the film and appreciate your hard work and vision in producing it. I have one concern. I noticed while watching it on Vimeo that roughly the first half of the film did not have the audio and video synced up. Because of the importance of this film to be of the highest quality and not have a production element distracting from the message, I am hoping that this has been or will be corrected prior to it being published for sale on DVD.

    In Christ,

    Dan

      Hi Dan,

      +Praised be Jesus Christ!

Thank you kindly for your email. We are so glad to hear that you liked the film, and we are grateful to hear of your appreciation for the work that was put into producing it. We are also grateful for your expressed concerns. What you experienced in watching the film is the delay created by Vimeo, and particularly Vimeo in HD with connection to whatever internet service you have. The sound for the film is perfectly synced. If you watch the Film on our YouTube channel which has a faster load time you will experience this less. Also, if you download it to watch, you will no longer experience this. Many individuals expressed that they had similar experiences or experiences of choppiness, which is why the film was also shared on YouTube and made available for download. Again it is a very large file and Vimeo has a hard time making it display well on all computers. We are sorry that unfortunately it did not display well for you. We assure you that It won’t be an issue on downloads or DVD copies, it just has to do with how it is displayed on the net.

Thanks again for your message! God Bless!
